O2 the UK network who helped Apple make history through its exclusive iPhone agreement has just announced that it will launch a range of tariffs specifically for the new Apple iPad device.

The new tariffs will be unveiled towards the end of May and if the US launch is anything to go by, its looks like the launch of the iPad in the UK is going to be a successful one. The iPad sold over 300,000 units by the end of its first day of launch, although these figures have not been confirmed by Apple; Analysts believe the device actually sold in the region of 700,000 units.

For those of you who don’t know what the Apple iPad can do and have somehow managed to escape the media hype here is a very brief run down of what to expect. You’ll be able to:

  • Browse the web
  • Read and send emails
  • View and share photos
  • Watch HD videos whilst on the go
  • Listen to music
  • Play games
  • read eBooks
  • Download applications
  • Use the clever multi-touch interface

We have sent an email to O2 requesting for more information regarding the tariffs that will be available….. let’s wait and see if we get a response……..
