T-Mobile get family friendly

T-Mobile UK have announced a simplified tariff portfolio of its pay monthly (contract) price plans delivering greater value and more flexibility for their customers.

We first heard wind of the tariff revamp back in January from Mobile Today however a release on the popular industry site reveals that T-Mobile plan to remove both the Combi and Flext price plans and opt to offer customers ‘boosters’ which are similar to O2’s Bolt ons whereby customers can opt for unlimited texts and free landline calls, internet and roaming calls.

Currently customers can add boosters on to their price plan including unlimited evenings or weekend call boosters, unlimited landline or unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile boosters and of course unlimited Text starting from £7.50 per month.

Last year T-Mobile soft launched a Family Booster which offers you and up to 4 people on T-Mobile free unlimited calls and texts between each other for only £5 per month. The great thing about this booster is that the numbers can be on different T-Mobile accounts and you can include a Pay As You Go users which means that your Teenager who costs you a fortune can always get in touch with you as it cost them nothing. My thinking is to add your teenager and some of their friends that way it won’t cost you a fortune in top ups.

We found something quite interesting though because despite the press release on Mobile Today, T-Mobile have confirmed that a new tariff they’ll be launching next month is a Combi tariff which gives its customers 1200 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited internet for only £35 per month, which seems like a pretty decent deal! We think that perhaps some of these tariffs as always are for new customers and others are for existing, in any case we’ll keep you informed.
