Microsoft's Project Natal

Microsoft's Project Natal

Over the past 10 years we have changed the way we interact with our tech and gadgets and things are poised to be even more advanced especially with the latest release of Microsoft’s Project Natal which has the ability to read the amount of people in a room and even understand our gestures.

The advancements within the mobile communications arena have led us to become familiar with terms such as touch screen and haptic which is the response or feeling you receive when pressing buttons or touching screens.

So what’s next?

We’ve all heard about the tech house which has voice and eye recognition controls which kind of reminded me of the Tom Cruise film Minority Report whereby he wore a special glove to control content on screens and even use voice to activate the lighting in your home. Now take the concept of iRobot whereby we have a robot servant completing our everyday needs and household chores which we really love to hate.

All this technology once seemed so far into the future, and literally within the next 5 years we’ll see the next level of advancements in this type of interface and gesture controlled technology. Microsoft’s Project Natal will be available as an accessory for the current Xbox 360 for less than £100, so the future of both mobile and gaming is going to be extremely exciting.

Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I wanted to say that it’s nice to know that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding the same info elsewhere. This was the first place that told me the answer. Thanks.
