Customers who are residents and visitors of London, Birmingham and Manchester will be pleased to hear that Vodafone have upgrade their network to support internet connection speeds of up to 14.4Mpbs.

The new broadband offering will benefit up to 80% of its 3G Dongle, Data card and 3G handset users. With mobile broadband being a focal point for the network you can expect to see more internet related services and products to be launched during the remainder of the year.

Vodafone have really pushed the envelope with this upgrade as at top speed the internet connection you’ll be experiencing will be faster than a lot of the home broadband at 8Mb. In fact the recent Government initiative to get all homes in the UK a internet connection of at least 2Mbps doesn’t even compare.

The network has stated that other highly populated areas will be next for the upgrade as the network continues to invest highly into its infrastructure.
