Not so long ago Nokia announced the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and now they have launched the entry level Nokia 5230.
Being a entry level device the features are kept to a minimum to help drive down costs but with the same touch screen abilities as the Nokia 5800, this is impressive. The 5230 is actually the same size as the 5800 – 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm and weighing in at 115 grams, it also hosts a 2 mega pixel camera, 3.2″ resistive touch screen with haptics and a resolution of 640 x 360, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro SD card slot to expand the memory.
The Nokia 5230 has some impressive social networking features such as the social networking integration whereby you can catch status updates and easy uploads to Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. It also has Nokia’s Ovi Maps service installed. The handset is expected to launch in Europe Q4 2009 and may come packaged as a Comes with Music service.
Below we have included a video from Nokia highlight some of the key features.
